Shweep Dada? Oh! Puhllows!

Emma decided that sleeping in beds is for whimps! She's gonna sleep on a shelf. Now that's a wicked cool place to sleep. In fact it's taken some serious research to find this best of places to rest your head. Among the tested spaces are:
  • In front of the drawers
  • In front of the door
  • On top of the changing table
Judging by her final selection, she knows a primo bail of hay when she sees one.

Emma's On Fire

Emma was having a rough afternoon so dad decided it was time to take a break. We ran over to a nearby playground that dad had been eyeing for a long time but had not yet visited. Turned out to be a good move becasue Emma loved this new playground equiptment that looked like a fire truck! Ranger enjoyed the opportunity to get out of the car too and proweled the border with dad while Emma made friends with the other kids.

Like a star shining brightly

Emma is like a star shining brightly. At least she is in nursery. The leaders there took this picture of Emma looking adorable in a summer dress with bows in her hair and placed it on a bulletin board with the other nursery students. We liked the pictures so much I decided to snap a copy.

Backyard Fun

Backyard fun has become a different ball game with Ranger around. Playground Equipment is only slightly ahead of the dog in priority and imporatnce. If the dog is getting wet, Emma wants to get wet. If the dog is chasing a ball, Emma wants to chase a ball, well - at least throw it. She gives ranger hugs and the grabs one of his toys and mimicks dad's growl with a "rar rar rar rar."

We've been trying to have fun in the backyard with the dog while the weather permits. (Lately we wonder if we'll be snowed in before September is out.) In the mean time Emma swims in the pool with the dog (and we can't tell who enjoys it more) and says "Bye Ganger" when we leave, and cries when she realizes he's not coming along. Ahh, the joy's of dog ownership and baby ownership!

Bounce, Bounce

This past sunday Emma was having a great time visiting her cousins - her cousins with a trampoline. We couldn't get her off! She bounced herself silly, and when we got her in the car to go home, she was asleep before we were out of the driveway! BTW, Thanks to Ethan for the great dance lesson.
