Mom In The Mountains

Perhaps you know that Hannah has been sick for almost a year now, trying to overcome Epstein Barr Syndrome. She has basically been on bed rest lately and sleeping a lot. Because she spends so much time resting is was a special treat to have her with us on a quick jaunt up to the East fork of the Bear River - we even got some pictures! Mom was pretty worn out, but we all agreed that the fresh air and outstanding scenery was restful to the soul - even if it took some energy to find it.

This picture was taken along Hwy 150 on the border between Wyoming and Utah.

Island Girl

Emma is very excited about Uncle Ken's wedding. She's got an island dress and everything. I think mom might feel a little guilty about leaving her with family while we are in Hawaii. Today mom took the time to make Emma a real flower lei. Made from the myrtle in the backyard, it became the perfect present because Emma loves purple.

Emma had an exciting day riding the new Commuter Trains on a trip to see mom for lunch. Emma was bubbling with anticipation and she was no less energetic at an approaching light rail train than the titan Diesels.

Emma was the reverence child in primary today. This was her first exposure to an "on stand" experice in church. She did very well and even though she slowly scooted off to the side, she was on the stand till she was excused.

Dad promised Emma that if she would leave Jay-Dog behind her pet would get to deliver pizza with Dad. Later it came to my attention I would need to show her how hard Jay-Dog worked.

Mini Corn Dogs Rice Please!

Emma knows just what she likes to eat. I love to watch her look the server straight in the eye with a cold stare and state "mincrndgsriceandsprite please." A sharp nod and she's done. I never know what to say to the server after that, do I apologize? Are they as enamored with her cuteness as I? Why are they not laughing like me?

Poor Sick Emma

It's no fun to visit the doctor, especially at 5 AM. One thing that always helps in situations like these is a good friend.
