Stopped by the IN-N-OUT Burger at LAX to catch lunch before a Disney visit and watch the planes. IN-N-OUT is only a couple hundred feet from the end of runway 24R (the northernmost runway) so it's a spectacular place to sit outside and watch the planes.

This is a SkyWest CRJ-200 flying under the United Express banner. SkyWest has more departures from LAX than any other airline!

Mom and Emma score the tail car of the Monorail for the final ride to Downtown Disney.

Here's how we rated - Planetary Pilots

We got to try out the new Buzz Lightyear ride at Disneyland! Check out our scores!

Look! On the matterhorn!

Issue 3

We spent another fun day in Disneyland, this time we spent most of it with mom. Emma and and I ran to the park and jumped into the new Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blaster ride. It was lot's of fun. We picked up a fast pass for our return a couple hours later with mom. We took in a few more rides and snacked on popcorn and frozen lemonade.

We were going to pack up for a flight out the next day but Hanna's been forced into staying an extra day, so we'll see how the day goes.

Dad and Emma wrap up a day at Disneyland.

Emma was turned loose at "A Bugs Land" in Disney's California Adventure.

Spent a few minutes on Hollywood Blvd. Found it revolting. Left.

Mom was working late tonight so we were given cart blance in planning our evening itinerary. So we started the day in Hollywood, seeing the sights on Hollywood Boulevard. That was not much fun, the sights weren't that impressive and even though I'm a movie lover, I was not fascinated by the legitimate sights and was disgusted by the ilegitimate ones.

So Emma and I made a break for Orange County and spent the rest of the day in Disnyland. It was a lot of fun, Emma and I rode a few rides and Emma ran-amock in a water attraction in Disney's California Adventure. We wrapped up with Corn Dogs in the Town Square at Disneyland and ran home to visit mom, cause we missed her during our Disney adventure.

Emma enjoys a good scribble while waiting for her plane.

Issue 1

Mom is traveling with work again. Since we travel for free (more or less) we decided again to forego the harrowing week of absence and tagged along. It's been a little tricky getting here with busy flights over easter weekend with lot's of spring breaker's, but we made it to LAX without any adverse effects.

We had dinner at a buffet a few blocks up Sepulveda Blvd and Emma got some practice drinking milk from a big girls glass and loved all the neat things to eat. We then did a little shopping for the week and helped Mom do some preperatoin for work tomorrow.

We were given a great room at the LAX Hilton with a view of Runways 25L&R. It's fun enough to sit here and watch these planes, can you imagine how much fun it will be to get out in the L.A. sun?

Postcards From Emma

After reading in the Desert Morning News that Stephanie, a fourth grader from Illinois, was soliciting postcards and letters from Utahns about the Beehive State, we decided to start a project to help her out.

We created a series of postcards called "Postcards from Emma" which feature photos of our daughter in a number of interesting locations around the state. We Placed the series of eight postcards (plus one introductory card) in the box at the Centerville Post Office today. Here's hoping they get there soon and are of value to the fourth graders at Gifford Grade School #188 in Gifford. IL. It's been about a month since we saw the article in the paper, so I hope we're not too late!

If anyone from Gifford Grade School #188 reads this, please let us know you dropped in by clicking on the comments link below to say "hi".

If you would like to contribute click here to read the D-News article and learn the where's and why's of how to help out.
